Every Russian woman who wants to join our network has to visit our agent with proof of identity which will be their internal passports. Russian people have 2 passports. an international one and a national one. When someone marries in Russia they will have to provide their internal passport which is stamped and when they divorce too. This passport will list their children as well and their current address. Our agents have to send scans of all hand written and signed applications to our head office in Sevastopol to be verified before they are added to our network. all original letters from women have to be kept and produced as and when we ask for them. We are currently working on a system whereby you will be able to receive a scan of the original hand written reply sent to you through our mail forwarding service.
as you can see it's very difficult for a single woman to scam through us and also very difficult for an agent to falsely write letters through us. and Russian scammers don't bother trying to get on our network when they can join a free site with an anonymous email address and wait for the flood of emails from the unsuspecting.
I get asked about this a lot. We
are unlike other websites that hide
these figures. I suppose other
websites don't want you to see this
information because it discourages
men buying addresses of ladies whose
addresses have been ordered often.
But we display it so that you can
see our agency is above board,
honest and does not hide
information. Yes some of our women
have had their addresses ordered
100's of times but they are still
available. The main reason being
that they have NOT met a suitable
man. Sure they may have had many men
write but this statistic might
interest you. Out of 100 men who
order an address of a lady only 1
man will end up making the effort to
fly out to meet the women. My wife
was online for 2 years. Her address
was ordered some 50+ times and she
received and replied to 100's of
letters during this time. I was the
ONLY man who went to meet her! She
was 26, spoke English and German
fluently and is very attractive. I'm
amazed that so few men travel.
That's why the ladies are still
online.
The figure for how many times the
ladies addresses have been retrieved
is only for guidance. It certainly
doesn't mean she's met dozens of men
and is very choosy. also a lot of
men order addresses on the spur of
the moment and don't even write. The
figure also includes each member who
retrieves the address.
Members get access to 10
addresses a month but they don't
write to all 10 women each month. So
I'd take the figure with a pinch of
salt and don't be put off by it.
Personally I wouldn't pay for
addresses from any website that
doesn't tell you how often an
address is ordered.
We have some software that tracks how many letters a woman receives through our mail forwarding service and how many times she replies. Our women are encouraged to reply to all letters they receive even if it's a 'no thank you'. It costs nothing for the ladies to reply and is a matter of courtesy. If a woman does not reply to 3 or more letters in a row she is removed as not being serious.
Women move and don't tell us. We are continually checking the ladies are still available. If we can't contact them they are removed until such a time that we can contact them.
a number of women decide to leave our agency because they receive no letters. Others leave because they receive 100's of letters but no men visit them and they become despondent and tired of writing for months on end with no results.
Many more have married. In other words maintaining the database is a constant effort and a high priority. as of January 2004 there are over 15162 women on hold in our database.
We do not show how long a lady has been on our database because some women have been online now for 2 years and tell us they still want to find a man to marry. If we showed how long they have been online men would write to the ladies that have been on a shorter time. This is just not fair. as I have said earlier all our ladies are currently wishing to marry a foreign man regardless of how long they have been on our database.
I've just received a 'low account notification' what does this mean?
This means that an agent has tried to send a reply from a lady you wrote to. When you sent the letter you agreed to pay for the reply but at this time your account does not have sufficient funds to pay for the lady's reply. Please read this page for further information and to add funds to your account: 'add money here'
To receive a reply your account must be in credit. To check your account see next questions below. Our mail forwarding system is fully automated. When you add money to your account the agent is notified by email. They will see that your account has been credited the next time they check their email. Some agents don't work all night or at weekends like me! Our agents in Russia are at least 3 to 6 hours ahead of British time. add another 5 hours to this if you are from the US. If you add money into you account at 16.00 GMT on Friday it will be at least 19.00 in Russia. Many agents may have finished working for the weekend and so your letter will not be sent to you until Monday at the earliest. I am based in the UK and do not have copies of these letters to forward to you. Only my agents in Russia can do this. To avoid delays with with your correspondence please make sure your account is kept at least ^15 in credit.
How can I check the balance of my account on East meet West?
This page shows all your current account information: 'Your account' Here you can change your personal details (email address, postal address, password etc etc). You can also retrieve any addresses you have ordered in the past and have forgotten or lost.

I am not from america. are these women interested in men from other countries?
Yes they are. On my recent trip to Belarus I asked each woman I met what country would they like to marry a man from. Every single one said it does not matter as long as he loves me and will treat me well and look after me. admittedly some women do have a dream to meet a man from one country alone but the majority have no preference. We have men from Canada, France, Spain, Italy, UK, australia, Germany, South africa and asia in correspondence with our ladies.
I am in my 50's. What age group of Russian women do you recommend I write to?
Most Russian women look to men 10 years older than themselves because they offer the stability that younger man can not offer them. However as the man's age increases so does the difference in age that is acceptable. I do not recommend you writing to women more than 15 years younger than yourself.
You can purchase ladies addresses singularly or in multiples. The more you buy the cheaper they are. We must point out that writing to only one or two ladies lessens the chances of you getting replies. The more ladies you write to the more replies you will get.

I don't have time to travel to Russia. Can the women come and meet me here in the USa?
No they can't. The US government will not issue tourist visa's for Russian women or women from FSU (Former Soviet Union) countries if you have not already met in person. The UK, Canadian and australian governments also have similar rules. Lets look at this from your governments view point. Your country is one of the most 'desirable' countries in the world to emigrate to. Each year 1000's of immigrants enter your country illegally. Now they have a 23 year old woman saying she wants to travel 1000's of miles to meet someone who is more or less a complete stranger apart from some letters and phone calls. She probably doesn't speak a lot of English, has never been out of Russia before and doesn't have any money. Would you give her a visa?

a: I'm afraid that sending email to the former USSR can be problematic. You may have to try many times, or write or phone the lady concerned. Please see our 'women with email' page for more details.
Q: Do I need a visa for the countries in the former USSR?
a: For almost all the countries in the former USSR, you must arrange a visa with their embassy in your country. You usually require a formal letter of invitation from a tourist company, and to have booked somewhere to stay before you will be granted a visa.

a: we realize that in these days
of cheap travel and hotels, not
everyone wants to take our full tour
but want to travel independently.
I'm asked all the time for contact
details of agents and whether we can
provide an interpreter for a few
hours or arrange meetings with a
couple of women and so on. So we are
now going to offer an 'a la carte'
system for those of you who want to
travel independently. Each ladies
page will have a new button
installed called 'visit me'. When
you click on this button you will be
taken to a page where you can select
a number of services ranging from
booking interpreters, airport
transfers, tour guides, excursions,
visa assistance, apartments rentals
and introductions (arranged
meetings). Because our network is
now so vast and covers cities across
many regions prices will vary and
you will be able to see this all
onscreen. For example an interpreter
for an hour in Kiev will cost more
than and interpreter in Kharkov for
an hour. You might have booked a
hotel in Kiev for 3 days and want to
meet one woman. That's all you want
from us. Fine no problem! You will
see on each ladies page a new piece
of data called 'Introduction' and a
number of credits. again, depending
on the city and expense an
introduction to one lady may cost 1
credit in one city but 2 credits in
another. The cost of 1 credit is
€3.5. So you will be able to buy 'x'
amount of credits before you trip
and trade these in for
introductions, interpreters and so
on.
